This teaser for a re-release of the swedish classic BMX video “Torleif and the Hunters” recently emerged on the TUMULT site. I’m really looking forward to this and it will be fun to see the comments it will generate on TheComeUp if it makes it’s way on there.
Jesper over at TUMULT just posted this YouTube clip of Bert & Ernie from Sesame street trying gangsta rap. That reminded me of the old gem “Bert is Evil”. A site that surfaced sometime in the 90’s and was heavily mirrored and pretty big back then. I remember laughing out loud (LOL’ing for all you who live online) at many of the manipulated (real!) photos and so called evidence.
Here’s an extended mirror site that has a bit more content than the original site. My favorite by far is the e-mail correspondence with Jeffrey Dahmer. Funny stuff!
Yesterday I was one of the lucky few to have the privilege to shred the newly finished bike and skatepark Rampfest. Thirty or so riders were on the list and every single one of us was having a blast, at least that’s the impression I got from seeing the smiles on people’s faces. I sure know I was in a good mood!
The place has got huge ramps, smaller ramps and a setup with foampit, resi-box and regular boxjump, all with the same specs. Already some dudes were doing mental things on the regular box. So I can imagine that the level of riding, not just on the boxjump, will blow out of proportion for sure.
Big thanks to Brett and all the dudes who put in 14 hour days for the past 4 months to get the place up and running. Now have a look at this promo video showcasing the park and then go ride it next session available.
My friend Pim Van Den Bos has been working on double flips in foam and he’s told me that he was getting pretty comfortable with it. Before new years he told me that he was gonna take it to the dirt in his local indoor park and here’s a clip of the attempt.
Not quite there yet, but it was damn close. He’ll have it down soon I’m sure!
I’m going to Paris to celebrate new years eve and have some time off. It will be nice. So to finish off the year on this site I’ll post this little YouTube flick courtesy of Jesper@TUMULT. Happy New Year and don’t blow your fingers off with the fireworks.
