How good is this?

The quote posted as the caption for this video sums up the essence of what is trails riding pretty accurately. Amazing spot and amazing video. Thanks Dave King!

Compression Teaser

In a previous post I mentioned that Jeremy Muller has been working on an all trails DVD project. It is soon going to be released on may 15th and here’s the teaser. The actual DVD will be released together with Soul BMX magazine #65 and you can also buy it separate from the Soul website for around €5.

I’m sure buying one!

Dagger Trails Tribute

Posted: March 25th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: BMX, Video | Tags: , , | Comments Off

Jeremy Muller just sent this to a bunch of friends. Apparently these trails are getting plowed and he made this tribute edit from leftover footage filmed there. I’ve never been to these trails, but it’s always sad to see such nice looking sets get destroyed.

Also be sure to check out the Compression DVD (all trails I think) that will be out in mid May.

The Shape enjoying summer

Posted: January 11th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: BMX, Video | Tags: , , | Comments Off

Remember the post a couple of weeks back of the trails that were destroyed by freezing winter? Here’s an edit by Mr. Shape a.k.a Fredrik Götesson, who’s one of the dudes maintaining those trails in his parents’ back yard. The clips are from this past summer, before the lip froze and collapsed. The edit fully gives off a great vibe and captures the joy of riding and hanging out with your friends. Enjoy!

Remember that you can see it in HD on the Vimeo page, there you can also download the full quality .mov-file if you like.

Trails disaster

Here’s a trails disaster of a different kind. The guys didn’t cover it because they wanted to let it set properly in the wet weather. Then Swedish winter hit and the lip froze and fell apart. This is just another reason not to live in Sweden…

9th Street Halloween Jam

Posted: November 10th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: BMX | Tags: , , | Comments Off

I was originally planning to go to Austin while I was in Texas (even though it’s a 10-hour drive from El Paso), but due to different circumstances I was never able to go. Bummer.

A little sad to say that I missed out on this event… a jam at 9th Street trails which by the looks of this video seemed to be a good one! Next time Austin… next time…

Equipment for Trails

Not many companies make trails specific frames anymore, which is kind of a shame because everyone doesn’t want their seat in the tyre and a front triangle you can’t put your fist through.

FBM just released a flipbook showing their new frame, the Steadfast. Trails specific geo and design with a bit more mellow headtube angle at 74° and a rear end that’s longer than 13.75″ slammed.
Flipping through the flipbook I came to the conclusion that it looks flippin’ good.

Trails in Finland

Just got this clip sent to me from my good friend Antti who runs the mailorder/webstore Signature BMX. The clip is of their teamrider Jukka Mäennenä who also rides for We The People. Filmed in only 90 minutes — he managed to throw down some good stunts in that short time.
