Jesper Stern is one of the most dedicated riders I know and he’s a big driving force behind the flourishing scene in Stockholm, Sweden. Here’s his latest edit in collaboration with Childstore and New Black — one of the best edits from Sweden I’ve seen in a while. Pretty obvious that Jesper is stoked on riding outdoors after a looong winter!
This edit of my good friend Jesper Stern was put online just 7 hours ago and it’s already got over 1300 views. Jesper is the main driving force behind the BMX collective TUMULT in Sweden and he’s also an up and coming videographer.
Check out some what Jesper produced during the spring and summer of 2010:
The idea is simple. A fun street jam/comp that will take place at 5 different spots that will be announced on the day of the jam. The focus is to hang out with friends and have fun on little bikes. The way it should be. The event is arranged by Tumultbmx with support from Etnies and Rockstar Energy and will happen on the 5th of September. If you’re in Sweden — go there.
Here’s my good mate Flagz’ Sputnic edit that just got posted up on the Focalpoint site. Flagz knows how to have fun on a bike and it shows in this edit. He’s also not afraid of pulling out some rad moves on rails. Go Flagz!
Adrian Malmberg went to Barcelona with Eduards Zunda to spend some quality time on their bikes. Judging from this little edit it seems that they made the most of their time there. Some real high quality riding in here.
I previously posted a teaser for this webvideo and now it’s here. Jesper Stern, head of Team TUMULT has been hard at work filming and editing this web video. Full of the best streetriding I’ve ever seen out of Sweden and even the young guns have some clips!
It’s a rather large file (400Mb+), so if you don’t wanna stay on this page and wait for it to load, right click and download it here.
Yesterday me and a friend went to a spot that I saw earlier in the summer. It wasn’t the best setup, but I figured I could do it anyway. The run-up kind of mellowed out so there was no pop, so we made a makeshift launch out of a piece of ply and some pieces of wood.
Anyway, I fired it out right off the bat, but didn’t get enough speed as you can see in the video below.
There was also a balcony that stopped me from getting the best line possible. To get the right line I would have liked to be able to go as close to the wall as possible so I’d go more out into the bank when going over the rail. This way I went more straight so even if I had pulled it, the clip might not have been all that great anyway.
It was pretty gnarly and I’m happy I got away with some bruises and a sore neck and shoulder. Way better than if I had smashed my face on the stone framing of the flower bed at the top of the bank… too close for comfort.
