I recently started playing a game on the iPhone called Eliss. At first glance it does not look like much, but once you start playing you learn that it’s an amazing game. It’s a very unlikely kind of strategy game, unlike anything I’ve seen before and it fully takes advantage of the iPhone’s multi-touch capabilities. It’s also got really nice and low tech, almost old school, graphics and the sound effects and the music goes really well with the game.
I’m on level 8 and it’s really challenging and there are 12 more to go. Keeps you busy for sure, and definitely worth the $1.20 I spent buying it.
Lately I’ve been playing this game on the iPhone that’s called Flight Control. It’s a rather simple game where you’re supposed to guide various aircraft to their designated landing zones by tapping and dragging. It’s pretty addictive and a game that really shows how awesome the iPhone user interface is.
I’ve entered the realm of extreme geekyness and have Jailbroken my iPhone and made my own theme for it. I love customizing my things and I like how this one turned out. I’ve basically just snagged bits and pieces from different themes and some icons I had for my mac, modified them and combined it all into my own theme.
I’ll probably update it more when I find stuff I’d like to add or re-style. Guess I’ll keep a recent copy online at all times.
