Yesterday I got a question to my e-mail why I don’t draw the Simple frames with slightly bigger spacing between the dropouts to accommodate for hubguards. The standard is 110mm and making it bigger might make sense at first glance. Below, I’ll go into the details of why it’s a bad idea.
Personally, I had never [...]

Did a pretty cool thing with a photo and a 3D rendering of the latest stem sample. Didn’t get the angle and projection exactly right, but it’s pretty close.

A while back I posted the 3D bike I’ve been working on. I finally found some time to get the seat and chain on there. So now it’s pretty much finished with a brakeless setup. I went a little crazy with the colors when rendering and it’s not super fresh. Might try to render it [...]

I’ve entered the realm of extreme geekyness and have Jailbroken my iPhone and made my own theme for it. I love customizing my things and I like how this one turned out. I’ve basically just snagged bits and pieces from different themes and some icons I had for my mac, modified them and combined it [...]

Yesterday at work I saw this new tee from DC Shoes. It features a bunch of sprocket designs laid out on the front of the tee. I was surprised to see a very familiar sprocket on there, the middle one in the right column. That’s the “Copenhagen” sprocket from Simple Bikes. Well known to me [...]

Updated my 3D bike project with cranks and pedals.
The cranks are just a quick sketch of Odyssey Wombolts (that I currently run) and the pedals might or might not be in the works as an Eject product.
[Edit: Updated the 3D bike again. Now with new rims and spokes and nipples. "Laced" up!]

Here’s a little thing I’ve been playing around with lately. Over the years I have made many drawings of different parts and I just figured it could be a cool thing to put it all together into a complete bike. The frame, fork, bars, stem and front hub are already available as products. The rims, tyres and barends [...]

In case you were wondering about that, here’s the deal.
For many years I’ve been doing quite a bit of CAD stuff, such as drafting and solid modeling as a hobby and as you know I started out doing the Eject thing on my own before teaming up with Simple for the Eject parts since I [...]

Does this look familiar? Yeah, thought so too. Didn’t that other German company make one just like that?
