This blog have been pretty much dead for quite a while now, but maybe I’ll start posting some stuff on here again soon.
Built myself a new bike.
Included as many parts I’ve designed/drawn myself as possible. Next time maybe the whole bike will be ‘mine’.
Division is a new Australian parts brand.
The launch of this brand kind of came as a surprise to many I believe. They’ve done a good job of keeping it under wraps until the line of parts was fully developed, tested for at least 12 months and basically ready to ship — products are set to be available in September this year. A plus is that the website is also fully functional at the time of launch.
They’ve got a small but solid team of amazing riders. Every time I’ve seen an edit from either of these guys in the past I’ve been blown away, so I can see big things ahead.
The parts look good and have a nice finish. It’s also a nice touch with the embossed Division logo on most of the parts. The brands graphic design is fresh and the site is simple but holds enough information to keep my interest.
Check out the website here.
Here are a couple of edits from my good friends back home.
First up, Jesper Stern — Riding for New Black and Childstore:
Next, Adrian Malmberg who just released this Carhartt edit Filmed in Essen, Germany during the Carhartt apartment project. Lots of good moves in this one!
A friend of mine sent me a link to this ‘form’ that he found it randomly on the net. I have no idea who’s the originator, so I can’t give credit even though I’d really like to. Seems like it’s from someone’s Tumblr page.
Anyone who knows me reasonably well will know that I’m not a big fan of religion and what it has done to the world, so I guess I was a rather obvious choice of person to send this to.
Seems like some people actually believe this ‘rapture’ thing will happen — well then, good for you and good luck! Personally, I think the whole thing is rather hilarious and I totally feel like printing a bunch of these forms to hand out. Who knows, someone might sign over their possessions to me. Haha!
Happy rapture day. Not many hours left…
Here’s a nice edit of Jems’ bike, built around his Lombric signature frame, coming together. Then he goes riding at some really dialled trails.
Style!
Simple Bikes have been bangin’ out some updates about their new products on the site lately. The entire range of frames have been looked over and revamped from the ground up. The existing models retain the same proven geometry, but they have been dialled in and tweaked to suit the demands of 2011 with tapered tubing, integrated gussets and a built in pivotal post for the Enigma.
Also, two new models have been introduced — the Riga and the Lombric.
The Riga is Eduards Zunda’s signature frame and the Lombric is designed as per Jeremy Muller’s preference. The both feature a new style dropout where the chainstay and seatstay endcaps are an integrated part of the dropout.
Have a look at some photos:

The Eject hub and stem have also undergone a bit of an update. The hub is now slimmer and lighter and one of the endcones have been integrated with the axle. The stem got the ’rounding off’ treatment and have been styled to match the style of the System frontloader.
This edit of my good friend Jesper Stern was put online just 7 hours ago and it’s already got over 1300 views. Jesper is the main driving force behind the BMX collective TUMULT in Sweden and he’s also an up and coming videographer.
Check out some what Jesper produced during the spring and summer of 2010:
Time for another part of the Compression DVD. This time it’s footage from the UK trails scene.
Here’s the latest from my friends back home in Sweden.
This was supposed to be one of the parts in a follow-up to the “Toasted” DVD that was released by Peter Riiga a few years back as a school project. Due to various problems, it was decided that it was a better option to release the parts online instead. So, here’s the first part with riding from Joakim Olsson:
