Interbike 2008…

…what a disappointment!

Interbike is over. I’ve been scanning bmx news sites and forums for interesting new parts and products from other brands then the one(s) I’m involved with. But there was seriously nothing new or really cool. Unless you think 20+ new pivotal seat graphics (on the same seat shape), or new limited edition colorways are groundbreaking.

The most interesting thing for me was that the G-Sport Ratchet hub finally seems to be ready for release and that they’ve figured out a way to make a 9-tooth driver. It was also interesting to see the JC/PC pedal from Odyssey. It’s a cool concept and I think it will work really well. So in my book, the only company that really delivered was Odyssey/G-Sport, even though we already knew both those products were coming.

And of course I have to say that it was fun to see Niels Thanild showing off some of the new Simple parts we’ve been working on in his product highlight on VitalBMX.

Svevo bikes (Oops!)

I was pretty impressed when I saw this bike. I totally like the finish and worksmanship, might not agree with all the parts selected for the complete, but whatever. Just one thing that I noticed with the photo, hence the “oops”.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a professional wheelbuilder build the wheels for the show bike…

3D bike finished!

A while back I posted the 3D bike I’ve been working on. I finally found some time to get the seat and chain on there.  So now it’s pretty much finished with a brakeless setup. I went a little crazy with the colors when rendering and it’s not super fresh. Might try to render it in a program more suited for photorealistic stuff later.

All in all I’m really happy with how it turned out.  Hope you like it.

There’s only about 3 more days until we get sucked into the black hole. The LCH is going to be activated on Wednesday. Time to start looting!

If you’ve read my previous posts on this that you know what I’m on about.

Black Hole Earth?
More LHC

Apparently the Australian media has finally picked up on it too…

Brian Tunney posted a pretty interesting interview with Darcy Saccucci (MacNeil’s product designer). Read it over on Brians blog on the DIG BMX site.

TUMULT Vinyl Mix

I previously posted a teaser for this webvideo and now it’s here. Jesper Stern, head of Team TUMULT has been hard at work filming and editing this web video. Full of the best streetriding I’ve ever seen out of Sweden and even the young guns have some clips!

It’s a rather large file (400Mb+), so if you don’t wanna stay on this page and wait for it to load, right click and download it here.
